L'Amitient was founded in 1989
as a non-profit corporation.
Its mandate is to further the mental, spiritual,
artistic and physical development of adults living
with an intellectual handicap. It does so
by providing a home where each person lives
as a member of the family, works in the home,
on the farm and develops social skills.
